Members of the LGBTIQ+ community in Melbourne are being invited by queer organisation The Channel to participate in an intimate evening exploring the challenges and opportunities faced both now and in the future by the Australian LGBTIQ+ community.
With panellists including Director of Advocacy at the HRLC, Anna Brown, Editor of Metro, Adolfo Aranjuez and 2015 LGBTI Victorian Person of the Year, Sally Goldner, tonight’s event presents a valuable opportunity to hear unique and informed perspectives on a broad range of subjects.
“We’re so excited about this all-star line-up. It promises to be a riveting conversation,” The Channel’s founder Georgia Matthews told SameSame ahead of tonight’s event.
“Apart from funding LGBTQIA+ programs or individuals, The Channel works to elevate the conversations happening in our focus area, to engage Members and the broader community, and work towards practical solutions together.”
“That’s what this evening is supposed to be about.”
Tickets are completely free for Members of The Channel and $10 for non-Members. However, The Channel is offering SameSame readers 50% off – so just use the promo code ‘SameSame50’ when registering for tickets.
When: Tonight, Friday 24 February, 6:00 pm – 7:45 pm.
Where: The Wheeler Centre, 176 Little Lonsdale St, Melbourne, VIC 3000.
